Butter Braids

Scouts have the opportunity to sell Butter Braids for 2 weeks, starting March 5th. On March 19th, all money and order forms will be collected and the Butter Braids will be distributed on April 2nd so they can be delivered in time for Easter. Don’t forget to bring a cooler to help keep them frozen.

They cost $12 each, with $5 going into your individual scout account. It is encouraged to sell a minimum of 10. The top 2 sellers will each receive a pair of tickets for the Nuggets versus Phoenix game on Friday April 6th, 7pm (donated by scout parents, Tim and Susy Fischer, owners of Freeman Insurance West). If there is a tie, those scouts will be notified and there will be a sell off. You will have 48 hours to keep selling. The top 2 sellers after that will be the winners. (If after that, there is still a tie, names will go into a hat and 2 winners drawn).

Order forms, personalized for our troop, will also be available at the next meeting on March 12th. Contact Mrs. Suchey with any questions,

Scout Show cards – Saturday April 28th, 10am – 4pm
National Western Complex

The Cards sell for $10 each and provide admission to the show for an entire family plus discounts throughout the year. The 2012 theme is “Be Prepared” and is a tremendous opportunity for the public to see what Scouting is all about, with hands-on activities and great prizes! Fun things at the Scout Show include archery, games, camping demonstrations, cooking demonstrations, stage shows, obstacle courses, cubmobiles, pinewood derby car races, and activities for all ages.

Scouts receive $3 per card sold into their scout account, plus are eligible for prizes when at least 10 cards are sold (level 1, 10-14; level 2, 15-19; level 3, 20-29; level 4, 30-39; level 5, 40-59; all the way to level 13 at 400+ cards sold). All monies and/or unsold cards must be turned in no later than April 16th. The top selling Gateway District troop last year sold 314 cards – let’s see if we can beat it!
